After Dark 2 is a compilation album featuring artists from the label Italians Do It Better. The album was released on May 17, 2013 and produced by Johnny Jewel. It is a sequel to the 2007 album After Dark.

Artists and bands featured on the album include Glass Candy, Desire, Chromatics, Mirage, Appaloosa, Symmetry, Twisted Wires, Farah, and Mike Simonetti.

Triple crystal clear vinyl housed in silver-embossed and double-wide spine jacket** Mike Simonetti gathers the IDIB gang for a sumptuous follow-up to their cherished 'After Dark' compilation. Glass Candy, Chromatics, Symmetry, Farah, Desire, Mirage, Appaloosa, and Simonetti himself all feature on 15 exquisite odes to the night, refining their mixture of glossy '80s disco sheen, heart-aching robo-bop and throbbing Italo to grip where it really matters.

It's primed for long car journeys with your best Gosling gurn on, or those long, lonely nights with only a bottle of red and a bag of blue pills for company. Essentially it's a constellation of gleaming gems rotating around the central star Johnny Jewel, who helms every one of the acts on parade. With Ida No as Glass Candy he contributes four precious moments, from the euphoric introduction of 'Warm In Winter' to a greazy-but-sweet slow hustle called 'The Possessed', the darkside thrills of 'Beautiful Objects' and the stunning closing sequence 'Redheads Feel More Pain', and three with Drive soundtrackers, Chromatics, including the unmissable autotune emoting of 'Camera'.

After a couple of runs thru, we reckon other future faves are gonna be Appaloosa's insouciant Italo anthem-in-waiting 'Fill In The Blanks' and no doubt the French-sounding filter disco of Desire's 'Tears From Heaven', but the whole thing's crammed with percies waiting for you to pick 'em.
