Breakout pop sensation Carly Rae Jepsen released her eagerly anticipated U.S. debut album, entitled, Kiss, via 604 Records/Schoolboy Records/Interscope Records in 2013 . The Canadian singer and songwriter wrote or co-wrote songs on the album, collaborating with songwriters and producers Max Martin, Dallas Austin, LMFAO's Redfoo, Toby Gad, Marianas Trench singer Josh Ramsay and Matthew Koma.

"Call Me Maybe" actually took a full year to break out!,.. showing just how long it can take before certain songs catch on (feel free to ask Foster the People about how long it took before "Pumped Up Kicks" actually took off).

The song was written by Jepsen and Tavish Crowe as a folk song, but its genre was modified to pop following the production by Josh Ramsay. I

Initially, Jepsen's success was limited to Canada, but it wasn't until Justin Bieber & friends released a goofy homemade music video of the track that it began to really pick up steam. It is, after all, an absolutely flawless pop single: those synth orchestra stabs in the chorus making the song sound like nothing on the radio right now, the melody sweet, the sentiment simple, the whole thing instantly hummable and readily available for numerous interpretations. Although its intentions were modest, the song would soon achieve the level of ubiquity that is shared by only the rarest of cultural game-changers, bumping shoulders with the likes of Cee-Lo Green's "Fuck You" and Kelly Clarkson's "Since U Been Gone". Oh, and let's not forget about every single internet parody video of the song ever (for our money, we think this Dark Knight Rises one might be the best).

Jepsen's single Good Time, a duet with Owl City, has climbed to No. 3 on the Pop Chart, No. 5 on the iTunes Singles chart, and No. 13 on Billboard's Hot 100, while the video, featuring Jepsen and Young, has racked up more than six million views on VEVO.

Recently, Jepsen hit the road with Justin Bieber as a very special guest on the multi-platinum Pop/R&B star's 2012 headlining tour of North America.

This album shows that Carly has more to offer than a one-hit wonder. Kiss offers 16 strong tracks for more than the teen audience. The album is fun, well-produced, & the ultimate is super-pop music.

Stand outs on the record include:

Guitar String/Wedding Ring - a heartfelt mid-tempo song produced & co-written by the remarkable hit-maker Josh Ramsay of Marianas Trench;

Turn Me Up - a dance track co-written by Kevvy Mental of Fake Shark Real Zombie

Tonight I'm Getting Over You co-written by pop powerhouse Max Martin
