Wow. I feel like this album is so Dallas, and yet so different for Dallas. It definitely more closely resembles his live sound with his band on stage, which is really impressive. The sound quality is exceptional, and his voice is alluring as usual, but he definitely goes into his higher register much more on this album than others (which I'm personally not as crazy about, but he has an angelic voice either way). I think if you're a Dallas fan, you absolutely couldn't live life without owning this album. After "Grand Optimist", and then "Two Coins", I think "Woman" is his new magnum opus, and this album is the reason you have to see him perform live. I do think there are a few more lyrically simple songs on this album compared to his others, but this album seems to be more about the music and instrumentals (like you should just close your eyes and turn out the lights for the entire listen), and feels like a much less angry or moody Dallas, which is a big change.

My personal favorites are "Woman" (a perfectly progressive song, and so incredibly intense that it gives me a strange feeling in my gut every time I listen to it), "Northern Blues" (which reminds me a bit of the Drive soundtrack and Taylor Swifts "Style"), "If I Should Go Before You" (which I think showcases his dreamy vocals the most) and "Map Of The World"
