maybe a little insight in what going to a Sinatra show in Vegas was like. Sinatra opens up with some of his more mainstream songs ("Come Fly With Me", "I've Got You Under My Skin", "Fly Me To The Moon") which, despite the "live" environment, still sound as familiar as traditional recordings. After "Fly Me To The Moon", the orchestra (led by the legendary Count Basie) plays a little instrumental as Sinatra takes a sort of intermission. What follows is a nearly 12 minute monologue of Sinatra being "Sinatra" - talking about his dad, Dean Martin, and just opening up to his audience. Sinatra has a charm and charisma during this segment that makes it easy to understand how he was able to cross over into a film career.
