Insect And Individual Silenced featured the collaboration of Foetus. This pairing of industrial's two enfants-terribles (Stapleton and Foetus) did not disappoint.
"Alvin's Funeral" traveled a journey across the landscapes of musique-concrete, industrial, Dada, collage, improvisation, theatre of the absurd and free-jazz. More than that, this carnage of sound-effects had a twisted groove and feel. It was as if ghosts had haunted the recording studio and started having a party.
At various times during it's gargantuan duration "Absent Old Queen Underfoot" assumed the guise of a turbine in a nuclear factory, a religious folk-hymn, experimental underwater metallic percussion, the sound of swirling bacteria, an orchestra of artillery etc. "Mutiles Du Guerre" instead felt like an army of malfunctioning clockwork toys playing spastic martial industrial free-jazz amidst a spectre of anomalous frequencies, eventuating in a hologram of abnormity chamber-music.
