( " OLP are definitely one of my favorite bands. I enjoy all there work thus far. I even find Gravity, definitely their worst, most poppy album (damn that Bob Rock) to have it's rewarding point. Naveed has a much more youthful, rockin' attitude towards it than later releases. Raine's vocal methods are much different than on later LPs, but he still retains what makes him unique. Some people say this was their grunge record, but... I don't see it. It's just a rock record to me. No need for further characterization.
But the real reason to get this album is for the title song, "Naveed." It's truly one of the most rockin', anthemic, charging, epic, wonderful, most uplifitngly sounding songs I've heard. In my opinion, OLP's greatest achievement in songwriting.
Not to say that the other tracks are bad, as you'll find out with "Starseed," ""The Birdman," and "Under Zenith."

Naveed became a success. The album sold over 400,000 copies in Canada and also performed well in many other territories. The five singles from the album include "The Birdman", "Starseed" and "Naveed".
