The critically acclaimed Sturgill Simpson album "Metamodern Sounds In Country Music." My personal favorite track from the album "Just Let Go" ...though all the album tracks are fantastic. Artists like Sturgill and Chris Stapleton give me hope for a real country music resurrection!

here is a country album kind of spacy and dreamlike at times, but with engaging and genuinely thoughtful songs sung with such authority and a great country voice, it's just a real treat to have Sturgill Simpson around making music for us. I hate to even mention Sturgill in the same paragraph as the state of modern country "pop" music, because it really sucks, and Sturgill is such a breath of fresh air to all of us who want to hear real country music. I just wish he would get some airplay on regular country radio instead of the dross they play, it's disgusting. This is such a superb album, Turtles is a great song to kick it off, couple of great covers too. The Promise is so potent, just an amazing version, and like others have said, a ground breaking country album,
