I started collecting their albums in the 70's even though I remember their music from the 60's. I have several of their albums, one of my favorites is Swingle II: Love Songs for Madrigals and Madriguys, which I bought in 1982 and have played a lot.
I much prefer the original incarnation of the Swingle Singers to the later ones. The current Swingle singers seem to phrase with a much more conciously "jazz" expression....like Manhattan Transfer...it doesn't sound as good to me as the purer choral vocal delivery of the original French group
